Roles of women changed during WWII
Women who’s husbands left for war began to plant victory gardens so that they would have plenty to eat.
Many women entered the work force. “Rosie the Riveter” became the encouragement to women that they could work hard like men also.
Eleanor Roosevelt also played an important role during this time, and she was labeled “first lady of the world”.
