About the life of the writer Conan Doyle

Arthur Conan Doyle was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in May of 1859. He was one of ten children born to parents Charles and Mary Doyle.

Arthur found pleasure in writing from a young age, composing many short stories. Doyle enrolled at Edinburgh University in the early 1880’s where he studied medicin. He graduated as a doctor in 1885 and married his first wife, Louisa Hawkins. He continued writing as he practiced medicine, was even able to have a short story published.

Arthur kept his focus on medicine, opening a practice with another doctor shortly before going off on his own. However, he did not give up on writing, and composed a titled A Study in Scarlet, which was the debut of Sherlock Holmes.

The order of events :

1- A policeman breaks up a street fight .

2- Commissary Peterson came to Sherlock Holmes .

3- Holmes suggested that the goose be eaten and then buy a second goose to give to the man when he finds him.

4- The biggest surprise is when a blue gem is found inside the goose after it has been slaughtered .

5- Holmes discovers the man’s identity and returns the hat and the goose to him after telling him what happened to the original goose .

6- He finally discovers that the real jewel thief is one of the hotel workers.

7- After the goose containing the jewel is sold and it will fall into the hands of a man who has no knowledge of what it contains inside it.

The setting of The Story place

the story happened in 221b barker street and the alpha ‘ a pub.

 The plot of the story

The doorman found the hat and the goose. He gave the hat to Sherlock Holmes and he took the goose to for him self. Then the doorman found blue diamond in the goose.

He took it to Sherlock.Then he started on this case. After that he saw a weak little man shouting at Mr Breckinriges about his goose. Sherlock asked him about his name. Then the little man said “I well told you about every thing”.

He said he stole the blue diamond from Countess Morcar.Police thought the window man stole the blue diamond.Then he went to his sister and she had a farm. He went on the farm and thinking where he will hide the diamond.

He have a goose to his sister. After that he decided to put it into the goose.After that his sister sold all the goose to the Mr Breckinridges. So he was there to tell him to retune his goose. James Ryder was sorry and he wont do it again. He asked Sherlock “please don’t tell the police”. Sherlock said “that’s not my job”.

Ryder was afraid Sherlock told him Christmas is a time to be nice to other people.

How was the problem finally solved:

Sherlock Holmes found the thief and now he will not do some thing wrong again.

Best event in the story:

Favorite event is when the doorman found the blue diamond in a goose because it is impossible to find a diamond in a goose.

My opinion on the book:

It’s a wonderful story because the criminal knows his fault and he will not do it again.

My opinion on reading mystery books

I do not like reading mystery books very much, but I really love this book. If you do not like reading mystery books like me, then I recommend them to you because they are very short and very exciting and you learn a lot of English.
