 A summary of the plot

The book Wonder is about a boy named August (Auggie) Pullman, Who was homeschooled because of some complicated health issues involving his face. Auggie goes up to middle school, And he had to prepare for a new reality where he goes to a real school with new kids. In a meeting with Mr. Tushman, he meets three children who help him get to know the school without knowing that two of them are going to be his best friend and his enemy.

August has a mother and a father, a big sister and a dog.

The start at a tough new school for Auggie is alone on the first day of school and his classmate Julian is abusing him.

August’s friend Jack Will hangs out with him during breaks because Mr. Toshman asked.

And then Jack starts to know him and they become true friends. Kids get to know August and he gets a lot of friends who accept him for who he is and not because of the looks.

August Pullman is a 10 year old boy who goes to middle school and has complicated health problems in his face.

Middle school is the first time August has gone to a real school.

Before that, he was homeschooled, and his mother taught him everything he knew.

August is a smart, funny and sensitive.

he loves science and everything about space, and he has a passion for being an astronaut.

August’s best friend is Jack Will who is also a good friend of August’s enemy – Julian.

During the story, August makes new friends who love him and accept him just the way he is.

Mr. Tushman

Mr. Tushman is the principal of the middle school where August learns.  Mr. Tushman is the first to welcome August with open arms without judging him.

The character I liked the most was Jack will, August’s best friend. Because he’s the one who didn’t judge August from the beginning because of the way he looked.

He got into a fight with a good friend of his because Jack’s friend was bullied by August.

In my opinion, Jack will is a great example of how to act like a real friend.

I highly recommend the book. The book teaches us that you don’t have to judge someone because of the way they look, But because of who he is on the inside.

Because when we choose to know someone, we discover a whole world.
