The Amish:)

The Amish live in 30 states but most of them live in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.

The first Amish arrived to America in the 18th century because of the Europeans were impatience to the Amish about their lifestyle and bothering them and because they wanted to find places to farm and field.

The Amish lifestyle is without electricity or social media.

They don’t use the radio, TV, or other electrical appliances, because the Bible tells them they don’t have to match themselves to the world, and because the leaders of Amish agreed that electricity wouldn’t be good for the Amish.

They say easy access could tempt the Amish to leave their community.

The Amish people pray their prayer in the church, the typical clothes of the Amish womens is long dresses with long sleeves, and the Amish mens wear dark pants with suspenders and solid colored shirts.

The Amish children go to school until the end of eighth grade, The Supreme Court allowed them to graduate at age 14 in 1972.

After the graduate they go to work in their parents farm, the Amish works is carpentry, farming, cooking and sewing.

The most important thing among the Amish is the family and the community, It is not rare to see families with 7 to 10 children among the Amish.

With several generations often living under the same roof, there is a feeling of connection and participation in family life.

The Amish think the idea of cars brings pride and inequality. They are not allowed to own a car, so the typical way of transportation for the Amish is travel with horses and carts.

According to the church they are allowed to use trains and buses for some purposes.

The church don’t allow the Amish teenagers to use bicycles, but they are allowed to use another kind of transportation that is between a bicycle and a scooter.

They choose this way of life because they wanted more family life and the Bible tells them are not to be conformed to the world.
