The Amish
Amish is the name of an anabaptist Christian community.
They live in North America.
They are scattered in 22 states in the United States and in the Ontario region of Canada.
At first they came from Switzerland and Germany.
For Amish the family is the most important thing, because it is the only thing that brings them company.
In Amish families 7-10 children is considered normal.
The children learn 8 years at school and then they working in carpentry And other jobs.

Amish has a unique style of dress that expresses their belief that men wear dark suits, loose clothing and wait until the wedding to grow a beard and mustache.
The women wear modest dresses in a solid color, she is not allowed to get a haircut and they have to wear something that will cover their head, they cannot wear jewelry or printed fabrics.
The Amish speak, pray and write In German and Dutch.
At school the children are taught English.


The Amish do not have a house of prayer or a synagogue of any kind.
There is no special structure for the worship of God. For the purpose of holding the religious ceremonies, the Amish meet once every two weeks in the barn of one of the members in an orderly round and Everyone gathers together.
The main part of the ceremony is in the singing of the anthems, but it also includes sermons.
The group tradition of living on a fellowship and performing the worship of God there are the base or holding sermons and prayers in homes and not in churches.
