The Amish way of life

Their citrus life is very simple and there are people who will even say old, their clothes and their style of dress it best shows outwardly their faith and social separation from the world and their dress shows loyalty and social identification, it’s a bit like a social norm.
Amish boys wear dark-colored suits, straight-cut coats, wide pants, suspenders, solid-colored shirts, black socks and shoes, a wide-brimmed hat or straw, shirts printed with buttons, men do not wear a mustache and usually wait until after marriage to grow up mustache.

The girls have modest dresses of the same color usually with long sleeves and a puffy skirt cap and apron, the garment will always be fastened with pins or snap, the hair will never be cut, and it is gathered into a hidden ponytail, single women in their twenties and twenties wear black church covers, white covers are worn By all ages, Amish women in Pennsylvania are not allowed to wear jewelry or printed fabrics

The Amish chose  way of life like this because they want  a simple way of life, and the most of their time they will spend with their family

They travel with horses and carts. For Amish, the vehicle’s progress brings a lot of pride and inequality. It is forbidden to own a car but being the only passenger is allowed according to their beliefs. Sometimes Amish have agreements and they hire a driver who is not Amish who can drive them.
The church agrees to use public transportation for transportation to shops, work in markets, or to reach remote communities, but air travel is prohibited because it is considered too modern.

Instead of walking from home to parks or movies, Amish children in Pennsylvania enjoy no less a farm with animals and open spaces, the farm is like an amusement park, though sometimes dangerous. Children also meet at school and after church. Baseball is the most popular activity in school.
The fact that recreation is so closely associated with home is perhaps the reason why some adolescents rebel before entering a church, in that they participate in “global” recreation. This stage, often referred to as “sowing wild oats”, may include driving a car, drinking parties, attending movies, playing a baseball team (which is not Amish), moving across a mall – even buying a car and more.
Teens may replace their traditional Amish dress with modern clothing and get a haircut in a modern mix to fit in with the public

The family is the most important social unit in the Amish, if there are families with 10 children it is not considered special, when several generations often live under the same roof, there is a sense of homeliness and a desire for continuity or participation in family life. Upon reaching adolescence, many teens engage in traditional recreation, but others engage in other activities before choosing whether they want to engage in traditional recreation.

The houses of the Amish are relatively large and have an average of 7 rooms. They usually have a small closet. They do not use electricity because they believe it connects them to the outside world, and they believe it is bad. They buy their furniture from people in the Amish who work in carpentry

The Amish people are Christians, the Amish people have no churches but once every two weeks they gather at a friend’s farm and it happens that everyone comes, the book the people believe in is the bible that includes the old and new covenant and in addition to the new covenant they have their own laws.

Their education is different from ours, at first they had no schools at all, and they went to schools in the nearby villages, at first it worked and then the schools developed and did not get the Amish children well, so the Amish opened their own school, the Amish people changed the curriculum and because of that the children Study until the age of 12-13 and then go to work on the farm and the parents Educators their children according to their personal faith
