Adi and Rudy Dassler had a sports shoe company in Germany. One day, the two brothers had a fight. Each brother started a new company.

Adi wanted to give his sports shoes a special name. he used his first name-Adi- and the first three letters of his last name- Dassler.

Rudy also wanted a special name for his sports shoes. He named his shoes after an animal from the cat family. The animal runs very fast and can also jump almost 6 meters from the ground into the tree.

Lyndon Hanson named his shoes after a crocodile. He says, ”Like crocodiles, they live a long time and they are good on land and in water.

Most people say that the shoes are ugly, but they are comfortable and very strong.
