AWARENESS ON WATER SUPPLY

Our World,home of humanity and the heritage we will leave to our children..three quarters of it is coverd with water but 2,6 percent is available for drinking.

Fresh water resources are;ground waters,spring waters,rivers and lakes.

These resources are getting dirty or decreasing rapidly.

*Excessive use of resources is one of the main reasons for the depletion of water resources.

*Another reason for the depletion of water resources is the pollutionof water resources as a result of industrialization.
*Again, the inability of the factory chimneys to be filtered properly and the chemicals released into the air as acid rain on the earth with rain water are another cause of pollution of water resources.
*Another cause of depletion of water resources is increased evaporation and its consequences due to global warming.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN) announced the 2020 Food and Agriculture Report, prepared on the world’s water resources and consumption, at its headquarters in Rome. Accordingly, one billion 200 million people worldwide are faced with water shortage.

Today is World Water day.

If we do not want to inherit a world without water for our children, we must make an individual effort and raise awareness in order to use our water resources economically and not to become polluted.
