2020 is the year on the calendar when people had to face an invisible enemy- COVID-19 without knowing how and when it will end.

Of course, some countries had started fighting the pandemic in the previous year, but it spread widely in 2020.

Things changed fast than we could imagine.

Businesses were closed and tens of thousands of employees were forced to adopt a working style they perhaps never tried- work from home.

Schools were closed and people were directed to practice social distancing and wearing masks.

This is still happening even as I write this article.

Things are somehow settling down, although slowly.

For students, the mark left by the effects of the pandemic cannot be forgotten.

Some universities adapted to the new normal- offering alternative ways of learning and introducing support programs to students.

But the big question is: what does studying look like in 2021?

In this article, I’m going to share with you everything you need to know about studying in 2021.

So without further ado, let’s get rolling.

1.    There is More Support Than Ever

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, some good universities had to adopt new ways of administering education and support to their students.

Thankfully, many institutions have also jumped into the bandwagon and are now offering virtual social events, free counseling sessions, financial support, and scholarships for students who are struggling mentally or financially as a result of COVID-19.

These services are going to be around for a long time until this monster goes away completely.

2.    You’re Going to Feel Uncertain

…And there is no problem with that because it’s not clear how this will end.

With the current situation, it’s not easy to commit to anything because everyone is in limbo.

Nevertheless, you shouldn’t hesitate to start what you want to.

If you’re looking to go to uni this year, or you’re graduating high school or even changing careers, there is no better time to do it than now.

Doing what you wish to do now will take you close to where you want to reach.

After all, 2021 has been a very uncertain year.

However, you don’t have to pause your study goals because you aren’t sure what the future is going to look like.

Get started and know that there is support out there.

3.    No Need to Rush Into Anything

Normalcy is returning in many countries, although slowly. And no matter how things may be returning to normal, you don’t need to commit to anything just yet.

Besides, even though universities are putting plans in place to allow students to switch back to on-campus study, they still have the freedom to choose between online and on-campus learning.
