at the time of the judges there was famine in the land of Israel, so a guy names Elimelech took his wife and two of his sons to live in Moav.

his wifes name was Naomi and his two sons were named Machlon and Chilion, Elimelech died and his wife Naomi stayed with her sons. the boys got married with two girls from Moav, Orpah and Ruth. they lived for ten years and then the boys died, and Naomi, Orpah and Ruth stayed all alone.

Naomi heard that there will be a famine in Moav so she took Orpah and Ruth to go back to Israel.

Naomi told Orpah and Ruth to go to Israel alone and fine a place to live without her and Ruth told her “don’t hurt me by leaving you behind, wherever you sleep i will sleep, your god is my god and wherever you die i will allso die and will be buried there, and death will separate us”

so Naomi and Ruth went back to Israel.  when they fot to Bet lechem everyone was wondering “is that Naomi?”.

Naomi found out there was a guy called Boaz, she thought Boaz would be a good guy for Ruth, Ruth told Naomi she will go to the field every day where he works until he will like her, so she went to the field and started to gather some wheat and Boaz saw her and he asked the workers who Ruth was and they told him that she was a girl from Moav who came back with Naomi.

they allso told him that she was there from the morning till night every day.

so Boaz told Ruth not to so and gather wheat from another field, Ruth bowed down to Boaz and asked him why he likes her and why he wants to get to know her, because she is not jewish.

so he told her that he heard everything she did for Naomi and how she left her parents and family behind so Naomi wont be alone.

Ruth told him that she also likes him, Boaz calld one of his workers and told him to help Ruth to gather wheat and not to harm her.

Naomi asked Ruth to go to the Goren, where Boaz is sitting and to find out what Boaz is thinking or planning, Ruth told her she will do anything she askes her to do.

so Ruth went to the Goren and did everything Naomi told her to do, so she got there and stayed there until the middle of the night and he told her not to be afraid, and he told her to go back to Naomi and in the morning to come back to him, she came back in the morning and he helped her to collect some wheat and than she went back to her “house” to Naomi and she told her everything Boaz did to help her with the wheat.

2. the character i admire the most is Ruth because she left all of her family back in Moav for Naomi and it shows that she really cares for her

3. accepting the torah for me means to try my best to do the mitzvot even if they are hard for me.

and also trying to think what hashem would want me to do at certain situation.
