Today, a very special water molecule was born. Her name is Mila, she is here today to show you all about her adventurous travels through a process called the water cycle. Most of the time, water molecules start out in different places all across the world, but today Mila was very lucky and was out in the middle of the ocean among her billions of friends.

On a very peculiar, shining day like all the rest, Mila was floating in the ocean along with her friends until, she became extremely warm with heat energy that was from the sun and evaporated which causes Mila to ascend up into the sky to form a cloud within all of her billions of friends.

Shortly, Mila’s time up in the clouds was coming to a quick end as condensation was what got her into trouble and made her move again. Soon Mila was in the form of a rain drop and started to slowly fall down due to gravity and precipitation pulling her down. Almost every time, water molecules are lucky and land safely into an ocean, but Mila was not so lucky today and landed in a lake.
6

After a while, Mila started to move along down a river where she landed into yet another lake, which then she started to evaporate from heat energy and go into the form of a cloud again. The same cycle repeats itself for a long time and Mila travels through the same bodies of water she has been through before.

Suddenly, Mila is somewhere she hasn’t been before. At first she thinks she is lost but then she starts to drop down as rain with her billions of friends, in which this time she lands in soil. Although, her time in soil doesn’t last long. She is soon flowing down a river and starts to descend farther and deeper down into the water until she is filtering through the soil and is into the groundwater.
10

Quickly she is filtered back up into the river and is slowly but surely pushed back up into the surface by all of the other floating water molecules
12

Then, Mila finds herself at the top of a tiny pond where a deer came trotting over to get a drink of water, when she is then pulled up from the water and swallowed. Later but not quick enough, Mila is soon going through the process of respiration through the deer’s body and soon enough evaporates, where she is then back up into the form of a cloud.
14

After that, Mila condenses and is back flowing through the wonderful ocean. This cycle that Mila is on continues for millions of years and the water that she travels to everyday is recycled even after every living organism drinks it, its still filtered and reused. Maybe one day in the near or distant future, Mila will end up in a glass of water that either you or someone else is drinking from!
