Edith’s trip through the water cycle

Hi, My name is Edith and I live in the ocean.

I have lived down here my whole life and I

love it. One of my favorite things to do

everyday is search the ocean for pearls. One

morning I was out looking for pearls to add to

my collection when all of the sudden it got hot

and cloudy. Turns out I was floating in the sky.

I evaporated into the air and now live up here

with the clouds.

  I’ve been here for a while now. Its not the same as the ocean. There is no more pearls. Plus the clouds here are kind of mean to us every time we ask why we are here they always laugh at us and say “just you wait”. Its kind of scary what do they mean “Just you wait”. But then one day we all found out what they meant. This raindrop went up to the clouds and said could you guys just tell us. The clouds said “I guess if you really want us to”. They told us to get in a circle when we did they charged at us and took us. They dropped us they yelled “Its called precipitation.” I was floating in the sky again but instead of going up I was going down fast.

I fell into a big body of water. I didn’t know where I was! For a minute I thought I was back in the ocean but I wasn’t. I looked around for a new place that I could call home but there was nothing and no one to help me. I saw a few small fish swimming around here and there but they had no interest in talking to me. I finally decided to just sleep on a rocky pile of sand when suddenly I felt a strong current. I was being pulled from what I found out was a lake and into a smaller area.

I ended up in a tight space area it was dirty and muddy. I looked around and saw nothing but floating pebbles and sand mixed in with mud. I was no longer in the lake there was no where for me to go I poked my head above the water and realized that I was now floating in a river. As I had my head my head above the water a saw a big bird flying towards me. It was coming to get water from the river! The bird had swallowed me.

I was floating inside the bird the swallowed me when he was coming to drink water from the river. There was nothing in here. It was so small smaller than the river. It was also very hot. I could tell that the bird was flying based on the way I was shaking around. I wonder where he was flying to? Next thing I know water droplets start pouring out of the bird. Did this mean I would fall out too? Where would I end up? The bird was sweating! and I was soon falling from the bird and sweating off of him. I finally saw sunlight
