Michele’s Journey

Hi guys I’m Michelle the water molecule! Today I am going to take you on a very special journey which is… my journey through the water cycle! It may sound boring but it actually is very interesting.

The story began way up in the clouds all my friends and family had been rained out and I was (somewhat) pecintley waiting for my turn. Then finally a storm was brewing over Florida and I knew it was FINALLY mine time! When I fell it lasted only a few second but they where the most amazing few seconds of my existence! I thought when I fell I would land on the ground and become ground water but I was shocked to find out that I didn’t I landed in the ocean! It was scary being in the ocean but after a few days I got used to all the fish. Turns out in that ocean there are tons of other water molecules in the ocean some had been in the ocean for longer than I had been alive! Sadly my time in the ocean didn’t last to longer because a seagull came and drank me up with some fish. (ew.)

After two boring weeks of bring ground water it was a very hot day out and I ended up evaporating right back up into the clouds. Lucky for me I evaporated up into the same cloud as my bestfriend! In the end we ended up parting ways when I was snowed out of the cloud. My guess was I was somewhere pretty but I could tell that I was going to be snow for a while. During my time as snow I made lots of new friends and hoped I would never melt, but when spring came the sun began to melt a lot of my friends and they where all becoming ground water. I would say I was one of the longest lasting peace’s of snow but even I couldn’t stand the constant sun beading down on me. Sadly, my time as snow was coming to an end, but not my journey in the water cycle! When I melted the hill I was on was very muddy and I began to slide down it till I landed on a glacier.

My time as a glacier was a chilly one, I spent most of my days just talking to the other water molecules. I loved being a glacier how peaceful it was. I could have imaged myself being one for the rest of my life, but soon the peacefulness of the glacier began to disappear and I again found myself struggling to find a place to call home because the glacier sure wasn’t it. Lucky for me a piece of me ended up getting chipped of and I was again free to float around in the water.

Although I was in the water again this water was much colder and I was confused on where I was. There where less fish then there was in the ocean and it was less scary then the ocean. It was peaceful and that was when I knew that my journey through the water cycle was coming to an end at that this would be the place that I was going to be staying.

I hope you enjoyed learning about my journey through the water cycle,(it was a lot of fun for me,) but some water molecules journey never ends the just keeping going through the process, it’s the lucky ones like me who get to find a place that they enjoy.
