Introduction
In this book we will go over heating and cooling. This book is designed to help second graders understand the heating and cooling process and be able to identify if a change is reversible.
Lesson Objective
Students will be able to…
Identify what heating and cooling are and if a change is reversible.
NYS Standards
2-PS1-4: Construct an argument with evidence that some changed caused by heating and cooling can be reversed and some cannot.
Heating
What is it?
When you increase the temperature of something.
Cooling
What is it?
When you decrease the temperature of something.
There are two processes we do for heating and cooling
Freezing and melting!

Freezing
What is it?
When something is changed from a liquid to a solid.

Melting
What is it?
When something is changed from a solid to a liquid.
