George went into the library and started reading the first book and really enjoyed the experience. He decided to read another book and another one until he read 100 books.
The pleasure of reading books made him want to write a book, even though he knew it would involve hard work.
To get a real opinion on whether he has a chance to succeed and sell the book, he turned to his neighbor Mr. Katanzera and let him read the book. George felt he was the only one who could be trusted and the only one who knew him as he really is.
At that point of time in his life, Mr. Katanzera felt that his life had reached a dead end and the American dream had fallen out of place and would make it difficult for him to fulfill it. He thought George owed it to him because he convinced him to read books and now it’s his turn to become famous and successful in business. In addition he felt that George owed him because he gave him money to buy lemonade as a child.
At that moment Mr. Katanzera decided to publish the book and acquire the copyright. He told George to leave him a copy of the book so he could write review and correction notes. George acceded to the request and left a copy of the book in his hands of Mr. Katanzera.
Mr. Katanzera used the opportunity and turned to publishing house which printed and sold it to bookstores. Time passed and George did not receive any response from his neighbor.
After a few weeks George entered the library to read a new book. He saw Mr. Katanzera and a lot of fans around him who were telling him that the book he had written is excellent and they are waiting for the sequel. George was shocked and immediately realized that the neighbor had stolen his piece of work. He started going wild and yelling in public:” This book is Mine” but no one believed him, and he was expelled from the library.
George returned home nervous and disappointed, mainly because he did not expect the good neighbor he trusted to be the one who betrayed him. After a few hours, George decided that he would open an investigation and prove that the book was his.
He bought the book and sought proof through which he would prove that this is his book. He thought about it for a long time and suddenly he remembered that at the bottom of the cover he had signed his personal signature. As soon as he remembered straight he checked the book and he did find the signature there. He turned to the publishing house and proved to them that the book is indeed his and after a lengthy discussion this is indeed what was decided. Mr. Katanzera apologized several times but George was unwilling to hear even one thing from him. From that moment on everyone knew him, respect and appreciates him. He became famous author, got rich, married, lived in amazing house. The most important conclusion that George drew from what happened was that the truth always comes out. George eventually reached the American Dream he had dreamed of from the beginning of the story.
