Anne Frank’s House and Museum
Anne Frank House was turned into a biography museum in 1960 after the war, where Anne Frank, who is considered the symbol of the Holocaust with her diaries, was kept between 1942 and 1944 to hide from the Nazis. It is located on the same street as the historical Westerkerk church, on the Prinsengracht canal and street, which is considered in the center of Amsterdam, Netherlands.Easily accessible by tram, canal boat or bus to Westermarkt.It’s also a 20-minute walk from Dam Square.

Anne’s sister, Margot, died in 1945, and Anne shortly thereafter.Only their father, Otto Frank, had survived the camps. After the war, Anne’s diary was discovered and first published in 1947.The museum has 3 floors in total, including an attic and two floors, and the belongings of Anne and her family are exhibited in the house.

The most important part to see in the house is a small room where the rotating library, which is the place where Anne hid for a long time, is hidden.For two years Anne hid here.In addition, Anne’s diary is one of the most interesting objects in the museum.The museum, which is open every day of the week from 9 am to 7 pm.
