1.Design Home Decoration Products From Waste Materials
Our December plan was to design home decoration products from waste materials. For this, students brought waste soda bottles, cones, waste cardboard boxes, and waste tins from their homes. First of all, we started by designing objects from soda bottles. For this, we removed the labels of the bottles and painted the bottles with acrylic paint and drew various patterns on them. Then we painted the waste tin with acrylic paint and drew a pattern and thus we got a pen holder. In our other work, after we cleaned the cones that fell on the ground, we painted them with acrylic paint, cut the waste cardboard box and got the shape of a circle. We glued the painted cones to the circle with the help of a silicone gun and designed a door ornament.
2.We Made Phone Cases With Balloons
We placed our phones on the balloons we inflated to make phone cases. Then we deflated the balloons slowly and made the balloons grasp the phone well. In this way, we obtained a phone case.
3.We Established Liquid Vermicompost Production Center
We have established our liquid vermicompost production house in our school. We feed our red California worms with household waste. We feed them with peels of banana, apple, potato, zucchini, melon, watermelon; tea pulp, coffee grounds and egg shells that we eat at home. We do not feed our productive little creatures acidic and salty foods. By recycling, we feed our worms, they give us liquid and solid fertilizer, which is very valuable. By making the plants in our school more efficient with our worm fertilizer, we increase their oxygen gifts to nature. In this way, we protect our nature by using what is left after eating what we get from nature and we invite all our friends to protect nature. Come to our school, we will teach you, and then you wiil teach the people around you so that nature will be beautiful with the beautiful touches of the younger generation.
4.We Made Wall Decorations With Foam Plates
We thought that the foam plates in our school could be used other than their intended use. For this, we chose mandala templates to fit on our plates. We painted them in our favorite colors and cut and pasted them. In this way, we colored our walls with our plates, and we had a lot of fun.
