To Educators,
As students begin to progress in the field of science as first graders, they are getting introduced to the heating and cooling of matter; and that matter as a whole may or may not be reversible. In this unit, students will learn all about the reversible changes of water, and that not all physical matter changes are reversible.
Includes: Sing Along Heating and Cooling song, two educational YouTube Videos on irreversible changes and the states of matter, followed by discussion questions and flash cards to study for homework!
Learning Objectives:
- Students will have an understanding of how heating and cooling water effects its state of matter
- Students will understand that not all changes of matter are reverisble

Discussion Questions?
- Water freezing into ice, then ice melting back into water is an example of what kind of change?
- What is an example of an irreversible change?
- True or False: Heating water creates ice
- What are the 3 states of matter?
- What is your coolest thing that you have learned from this lesson?
