I saw it on my neighborhood

Now my mom and I left home and go to the border with Poland. I asked my mom why my dad stayed at Ukraine and she Did not answer me, she just hug me and started crying.

A few days ago at school my teacher told us that Russia wants to enter our country and we should not be afraid because our army is strong and they will not let it happen. I was  not afraid beacuse I believed her but now I understand that she was wrong. I saw a lot of Soldiers and that calmed me down a little bit.

I can not understand why Russia dont give us live our lives.  What have we already done?

We’re been on the road for 24 hours and I’m terribly scared.
I asked Mom what would happen to us? Are we going to die? I want to go home to see Dad and go to school I am scared I don’t want to live in a different country. Mom just smiled and said everything would be fine. I can see that she is very worried but she is trying to calm me down, at night I heard her talking to her friend at her phone and she thought I was asleep but I could not fall asleep and she burst into tears I was very worried about her.

We finally crossed the border with Poland after a long 36 hour drive. We saw a lot of people there, we got warm blankets and soup, it was really cold outside and there was a lot of snow.

After a few hours we moved to the Polish side. It felt like moving to another world, everything was much calmer but still people were stressed about what was happening in Ukraine.

We stayed two weeks in a hotel. In the evening Mom saw on her phone that the war was over I was so happy and thought I would finally go back to Ukraine and see Dad. After a few days we started to go back home and after a few hours of driving i finally saw Dad and I was so happy but there was a lot of ruined buildings  and not everyone came back. The war between Russia and Ukraine was over, but Russia left terrible things behind.
Now I get back to school and back to my life.

THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
