The Amish live in 22 different countries in the United States and Canada’s Entreo region. The Amish originate from Switzerland and Germany , the Amish people maintain a simple lifestyle and traditional dress, and avoiding modern technological use, hamish usually do not use cars , they use horses and carriages, and in general the Amish people do not like all technology, and most appliances it is their way of life, and this is how they like to live and maintain tradition and this is one of the things that distinguishes the Amish from the rest of human beings.
Religion – The prayers and sermons of the Amish do not take place in special buildings or churches, those in the barn of one of the members in an orderly round the whole community gathers together men, women and children , the ceremony includes prayer anthems and sermons, the community leader is a person whom the community has chosen and he guides them the leader is the answer to halakhic questions of the community and the holy book Amish is the Bible.
Family
A family among the Amish is a social unit that is most important to them.
The number of children in the Amish is seven to ten children they bring so many children for their community to grow and expand and usually 4 out of five children choose to be baptized and stay in church Most Amish have several generations living in the same place so they have the feeling and power of influence of previous generations. The language of the Amish is German High Dutch and both languages are actually dialects of the German language to be distinct and special in their language. Amish live in isolation from the environment and advocate full independence of the community they are not interested in receiving a service or budget from the state and do not receive unemployment benefits and social security they do not have bank accounts and all their profits are invested in the economy. They seek to live off their labor and care for members of the community.
Employment and work
The work of the Amish is mainly tillage and carpentry. They practice cultivating the land without advanced technology but with plows, which is very noticeable among the Amish who if one of them is sick his friends and neighbors will cultivate his land until he recovers. The women from a young age work in a kitchen that requires hard work without electricity. And they also sell handmade homemade items for sale.
Education at Amish Education at first it was not easy because the rural and large schools belong to everyone and are far from home so the Amish had to take buses and this is against their rules and slowly whether there are opened their own schools so they do not have to travel by electric vehicles
The children work in the field from an early age of self-awareness. The children study together until the age of 12-13 in the one room school method and then they have a special exemption. The youth meet on Sundays for a singing evening. In these meetings the man and the woman know each other and the boy takes the woman in the carriage to her house and at this point it will be a secret just a few days before the wedding the couple informs everyone that they are about to get married. Weddings take place from November to December after the fall harvest season ends. Weddings are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays aiming for those days that are less busy at work.
Amish attire
amish attire typical men wear dark colored suits. Baggy pants. Suspenders. Solid color shirts. Socks and black shoes. Black hats or a wide-brimmed straw hat. Tightened vests. Most men grow a beard after the wedding. Amish women wear modest dresses in a solid color usually with long sleeves and a full and long skirt cape and apron
Most of the women’s clothes are fastened with straight pins or clasps. Single women about 10 to 20 years old wear black prayer rugs for church ceremonies. Summary ..The Amish choose precisely this way of life because they love the way and they like to remain the simple people as they were in the past before technology they are afraid of the whole modern world they continue the tradition and differentiate themselves from other people
