Trip to Greece – Impressions

MY TRIP TO GREECE ~ ELENA RUGGIERI-CALO’

Hello everyone, I’m Elena and now I will tell you something about my trip to Greece for the Erasmus project!!!???

TOUR in TRIKALA

Our hotel, our greek friends and their school were located in Trikala, a city in central  Greece. On our first day we visited Trikala. A tourist guide explained us everything about the city and I enjoyed myself so much by taking a lot of photos!!! 

VISIT TO METEORA

The last day we spent the whole morning at Meteora, a wonderful city, about an hour away from Trikala. We visited 2 monasteries, the S. Stefan’s Monastery and the Saint Trinity Monastery. They are hanging monasteries on gigantic rocks and, when reaching them, they offer you a beautiful view!!

This was my favourite excursion of the ones we did in Greece!!!

CONCLUSIONS

This experience was very important to me. It taught me to compare myself with different cultures and to be more independent. It was a new experience for me because I’ve never been to other foreign countries before and I hope a lot to do it again one day!! I also liked so much speaking English to communicate because it is the language  I love the most and I think that practicing it helps you learn it better.

I also thank my host family  for their willingness and  kindness and, of course, for letting me try some very particular and tasty Greek dishes!!

I hope I will repeat such an  experience in the future!
