Antoniya Kyoseva
Hello.
My name is Antoniya. I’m 14 years old and I was born on the 31st of March,2008.
I live in Asenovgrad in Bulgaria. Asenovgrad is a small town it’s just 20 kilometers away from Plovdiv, wich is the second largest city in Bulgaria.
I’am a student at “Saint Saint Cyril and Methodes” Complehensive School. It’s the biggest school in my town. This year I am in grade 8 in “Foreign Languages” Class.

Hello,
I am Antonia and I am going to present you my slaid of our presentation for Asenovgrad and I am going to talk about the Cultural even “Kalenitska”. One mother is so happy because it is her third child and her first daugther, so far she has been so happy with foreign princesses, today she is on hurry because she is about to have her own. By the way, little boys can also participate in the celebration but to a limited extent. Traditionally the “kalinitski”, accompanied by mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers on the both lines. They gather in the Church of St.Nikola, then led by banners and an accordion, go to the Champel of the hill, return all together, in the city procession, led by military brass band. At one point it is a little strange that three years old girls in long skirts are stumbling along to the sound of military marches but how else would you know it is a town celebration. The whole white procession goes over a bridge, then over a Main where the audience cheers them and after that over another bridge where the decoration is with pink seal cords and goes to the park, where the children pass wreaths and receive gifts. Again according to tradition, last night they put their sight in water and wishes something, it is more certain that their mothers did this. The tradition is alive and both the old Asenovgrad families and by dauthers-in-law and mother to dauther who come from elsewhere.
