Dear Diary,
Today my service ended. It was time to come home. I knew that my family was missing me. They had been waiting for the past few years for me to return. Also, everyone in the company has died. I should not have survived, but I will have to move on. As I arrived home, my parents greeted me and asked me about my experiences in the war. They were glad to see me. I learned that my father is still running the business. It upsets me that the war has not stopped the rat race for money, because I thought that it would make people better. Did the death of so many soldiers not teach them that there is more to life than material things? After that, I asked my parents about Larry. I learned that, unfortunately, he has not come back yet. I hope to see him return from the war one day.
Sincerely,
Chris
