Dear Diary,

After many years of lettering back and forth … In a few hours, Ann will come to visit me!.
I’m so excited that I couldn’t sleep at night because I am so worried about her response to my question “will you marry me?”.
I’m going to ask Ann to marry me!!!!.
I don’t think Mom will support this because she was Larry’s girl before he went to war. It was also hard for me at first but I love her so it doesn’t matter.
I hope that my family and especially my mom will accept and approve of my decision.
But this decision is also hard for me… I am afraid that Larry will come home one day and see us together.
