Chocolate is a candy made from fermented, roasted and ground
seeds of the tropical cacao tree (Theobroma cacao; "theobroma"
in Greek, 'food of the gods'). The chocolate is a combination
of cocoa solids and sugar combined with other ingredients
- lecithin, whose role is to help the mass become more liquid
when melting the chocolate (suspension) and not to create an
emulsion as usual, because chocolate does not contain liquids,
and sometimes vanillin as a flavor component.
Many times the chocolate also contains milk and its products.
Someone who works with chocolate is called a chocolatier

The chocolate contains a stimulant called theobromine,
small amounts of anandamide which is a neurotransmitter as well
as caffeine and tryptophan in small amounts.
Chocolate is also known as a very effective stimulant for horses,
and the use of chocolate is banned in horse racing.
A study found that consuming a small amount of chocolate
every day may reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack to
a certain extent
