chris wants to help his dad so he confronts him and tries to  convince him to turn him self in. Joe doesn’t accept Chris’s offer and he refuses to the suggestion. after a lot of thinking and not knowing what to do chris decides to go tell the police everything he has heard and everything that he knows. Jow gets arrested for 50 years in prison for killing and not turning him self in. kate loses her sons and her husband and she is miserable. She can’t handle everything and she hates her life so she commits suicide. At first she didn’t succeed but at the second time she died. Ann understands that there is no place for her in the Keller’s family and she goes back home to be with George. The Keller’s family falls apart because of everything and they are no longer a family, everyone is for their own and they lose touch with each other
