1) She was born in Mingora, Pakistan, in the Swat Valley.

2) When Malala was ten years old, the Taliban (a Muslim terrorist organization) came to Swat Valley, and when she was only 15 years old she was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking out for girls’ rights to education.

3) In 2014 when she was only 17 years old, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her fight for the right of every child to receive an education.

Answer: When Malala was 15, she was targeted as a danger by the Taliban, because she encouraged women to speak up and fight for their right to equal education like men.

 

2)  Was Malala injured very badly after the murder attempt?

Answer: After Malala was shot in the head, her life was in great danger (there was a very big chance that she won’t survive). But, she didn’t give up and she fought all the way, and after many surgeries in the UK, Germany, and the United States, the doctors succeeded to save her life!

 

3) What degrees did Malala have from Oxford University? And did she graduate with honors?

Answer: Malala graduated with honors from Oxford University with a philosophy, politics, and economics degree.
