Safe Internet Usage

The girls who answered the questionniare are %58,5 and the boys answering the questionniare are %41,5.

When we look at the age range, %73,2 are 14-15 and %26,8 are 16-17.

As can be understood from the age range of our students, most of the participants consist of 9th and 10th grade students. The rest of them are 11th grade students.

While %17,1 of our students don’t think that the password they use for the Internet transactions is strong, % 82,9 of them think that it is strong. Accordingly, we can assume that they are conscious.

%85,4 stated that they know what to do for a strong password, which is high rate.

While %95,1 of our students don’t agree to share their password with their friends, %5 of them do.

Our students are also careful about sharing their personal information online because %68,3 of them said they never share it. On the other hand, %31,7 sometimes share.

%60 of our students stated that they use the internet for social media. %17,5 of them use the internet for computer games. %15 of them use the internet for chatting. Unfortunately, %3 of the participants use it for Research/Acquiring knowledge/homework.

It cannot be said that they showed the same sensivity about making friends with someone new on the Internet. %46,3 stated that they occasionally make friends. %34,1 said that they are always open to make friends.

Those who accept all information on the Internet to be correct are %17,1 while those who don’t accept it are %82,9.

While %9,8 of our students are always attracted by advertisements on the Internet, % 58,5 of them are never attracted by those kinds of advertisements and %31,7 are sometimes attracted.

%53,7 of our students know what to do when they have security problem. However, %43,9 of them can sometimes handle the problem with the security problem and %2,4 never know what to do at that situation.

It is seen that %95, 1 have knowledge about the protection of personal idea. Although they did not even recieve training on the internet security at this rate, it can be thought that they knew and heard about this subject in various environments.
