In the picture we have chosen  you can see a lady helping a man who is disabled. She is helping him with his groceries, if the lady didn’t help him he probably wouldn’t have been able to carry the groceries by himself. You can see how happy he is to get this help from somebody. We understood from this picture how little things can make someone’s day. 

Although, we don’t see the woman’s face, in our opinion she is smiling and happy to help. As a result of the lady helping him he can continue with his day without worrying about food.

In the picture we can see a boy complimenting a girl about her hair, the girl looks very happy. He says her ponytail is creative and the girl put her hair up like that so she could look pretty. Maybe the boy likes the girl and he wants to make her feel good. The girl is very happy to hear that he likes her hair and it makes her whole day. They both know a good deed was done by giving someone a compliment.

“One self-denying deed, one word that eased the heart of him who heard”

This quote connects to our pictures because  it talks about a self-denying,selfless deed that can make someone happy, and in the first picture there is a woman helping an old man with groceries. The woman did a selfless deed for the old man and that helped him a lot. In addition, in the second picture there’s a boy giving a girl a compliment and that connects to the second part of the quote, “one word that eased the heart of him who heard”.

In the picture we chose you can see a woman sitting in the middle of the street, it seems that she is lonely and sad. People are passing her and no one thinks to offer help, not even something small. In our opinion, there are several reasons why people are not stopping to help. First of all, some people are too selfish and don’t care about others, they just think about themselves. Secondly, there are people who are going through rough things in their own life and they can’t help other people.

In the picture above we can see a girl sitting all by herself, she seems upset and lonely. We can assume that someone made her feel like that or something worse happened in her life. Some people don’t think about what they say and that can ruin others’ day. But she doesn’t have someone to talk to and that is the worst feeling to have. Each one of us should have someone we can trust and talk to about anything. It looks like she went somewhere where she feels safe because she doesn’t have anyone to talk to.
