The Amish community are a group of Christians.

Who lives in North America.

They are divided to Twenty-two states in United States and Canada.

The founder of Amish is Jacob Aman.

The Amish source is in Switzerland and Germany.

Its community was founded in 1700 about Jacob Aman.

The Amish people are simple people.
They wear traditional clothes.

The people live in closed communities and they work in agriculture.

They believe that people should choose if they want to believe in God.

They not users of modern thechnology.

The man grows a beard and the women wear no jewelry.

They travel by horse and cart.

An Amish education is special.

The children attend a school of the Amish community.

The Amish had to build a school for them, because they wanted the child to carry on the tradition and be part of the Amish community forever.

They have no church or place to pray to God.

They meet in the barn of one of the community members to do their religious ceremonies

The Amish are said to pray in a barn rather than a church as a reminder of their past persecution.

The Amish community celebrates the same holidays as Christians – Thanksgiving, Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost.
And of course they also celebrate the day Jesus was born, December 25th.

The Amish community believes in a life of modesty, simplicity and agriculture.
They do not support technology of any kind nor the normal government.

The youth in the Amish community meet every Sunday.

If there is a couple that wants to get married then they have to tell everyone in the church.

The bride has to sew herself a blue wedding dress.

At the wedding there is no ring, flowers, photos and catering, but traditional food.

The wedding takes place at the bride’s house and there must be at least 200 guests.

After the wedding, the bride also wears the wedding dress at parties and prayers in the church.
