Bringing their figures to life is a talent that the SYBO animators are really proud of. Engineers and technical artists developed bespoke Maya and Unity tools to facilitate the creation of a cartoony style and vitality. When asked about Unity, technical director Murari Vasudevan praised its “friendliness for customization,” which allows developers to incorporate their own tools.

The visual style of subway surfers was heavily influenced by unique workflows and content processing, with SYBO creating their own rigging framework in Maya. Animators were able to handle and put up sophisticated setups with ease and speed.
