Mustafa Kemal Atatürk: The Founder of Modern Turkey
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was born in 1881 in Thessaloniki, which was part of the Ottoman Empire at that time. He was a brilliant soldier, leader, and reformer. After leading the Turkish War of Independence, he founded the Republic of Turkey in 1923 and became its first president.
Atatürk introduced many reforms in education, law, and women’s rights. He replaced the Arabic alphabet with the Latin one and promoted science and modern thinking. His goal was to build a modern, secular, and independent nation.
Today, Atatürk is remembered as a visionary leader who inspired millions with his courage, discipline, and belief in progress.
