The three plate boundaries are transform, convergent and divergent. Transform plate boundaries are boundaries between tectonic plates that are sliding past each other horizontally. Convergent plate boundaries are boundaries between tectonic plates that are colliding. The divergent plate boundaries are boundaries between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other. The San Andreas Fault in California is an example of when there was a real life transform plate boundary. Also, somewhere you can find a real life convergent pate boundary is on the Washington-Oregon coastline. You can find a divergent plate boundary on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Convergent boundaries cause earthquakes that can also be the largest and it can destroy the seafloor. They have a part in deep ocean trenches. Divergent boundaries cause volcanoes. They also create the seafloor. The transform boundary has a part in mid-ocean ridges.

There are three types of convergent plate boundaries. One is the Ocean to Continent. Another is Ocean to Ocean. The last one is Continent to Continent.
