Divergent Boundary – the boundary between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other.

 

Some real life examples of the Divergent Boundary is the Mid- Atlantic Ridge and the East Pacific rise.

 

Divergent Boundary’s are responsible for the creation of the volcano, the creation of the seafloor, it can have earthquakes up to 7.5, it also has mid-ocean ridges.

 

The Divergent Boundary´s sub types are the Ocean-ocean and the Continent-continent.

The Convergent Boundary- the boundary between tectonic plates that are colliding.

 

Some real life examples of the Convergent Boundary is Cascades (u.s. Northwest, Andes.) and South America.

 

The Convergent Boundary is destroys the seafloor,and has earthquakes up to 9.0.

 

The convergent Boundary´s sub types are  Ocean- continental, Ocean-ocean, and Continental- continental.

The transform boundary-the boundary between tectonic plates that are sliding past each other horizontally.

 

Some real life examples of the Transform boundary is the San Andreas fault, Alpine fault (New Zealand).

 

The transform boundary doesn’t create/destroy seafloor, and it has earthquakes as strong as 8.0.

 

the transform sub type boundary are oceanic, and continental.
