The three types of plate boundaries are:
-Divergent (definition: 2 tectonic plates spreading apart to make heated water spew upwards)
-Convergent (definition: 2 tectonic plates moving and smashing together)
and
-Transform (definition: plates moving beside each other)
Examples:
Transform- Gulf of California , Alpine Fault of New Zealand
Convergent- Washington-Oregon coastline , Juan de Fuca
Divergent- Mid-Atlantic Ridge , Eurasian Plate
Earthquakes are created by convergent and divergent plate boundaries.
Volcanoes are formed the same way as earthquakes.
Sea floor is created by divergent boundaries.
Sea floor is destroyed by convergent boundaries.
Mid-Ocean ridges are formed from divergent boundaries.
