1.Plate Boundaries are locations where two tectonic plates meet.
2.Coming closer together, especially in characteristics or ideas.
3. Make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of.
2. Plate boundaries are locations where two tectonic plates meet. there are three types of a plate of boundaries, which are defined by the type of motion occurring at the boundary.
4. Some boundaries are located within continents of land, while others are located under oceans.

5. earthquakes at convergent plate boundaries, where two continental plates collide earthquakes are deep and also very powerful. in general, the deepest and the most powerful earthquakes occur at plate collision zone at convergent plate boundaries.
6. The descending end of the ocean plate melts and creates pressure in the mantle, causing volcanoes to form. orogenic belts occur where two continental plates collide and push upwards to form large mountains ranges. these are also known as collisions boundaries.
7. As the oceanic plates move apart they produce cracks in the ocean floor. magma rise up from the mantle and oozes out from the cracks like a long, thin undersea volcano. this magma cools to form a new crust of igneous rock.
8.Magma from the mantle solidifies into basalt, a dark, dense rock that underlies the ocean floor. thus at divergent boundaries, ocean crust, made of basalt, is created. when two plates come together, it is known as a convergent boundary.
9. Is an underwater mountain range, formed by plates tectonics. this uplifting of the ocean floor occurs when convection currents rise in the mantle beneath the ocean crust and create magma where two tectonic plates meet at a divergent boundary.
10. usually, one of the converging plates will move beneath the other, which is known as subduction. Deep trenches are often formed where tectonic plates are being subducted and earthquakes are common.
