Why did the Chickens Cross the Road? – Book Number 15

Two chickens stood at the side of the road.

“Do you think we should cross?” one asked.

“I don’t know,” said the other. “They might tell all kinds of jokes about us.”

“Like what?” asked the first chicken.

“Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side.”

“What’s funny about that?” asked the first chicken.

“I don’t know, but everyone seems to laugh. I don’t like being laughed at, do you?”
“No, of course not,” said the first chicken. “I hate when people use the word chicken in such a derogatory fashion. Do we dis  other chickens by calling them people?”
