The spider climbed the cedar tree,
To see whatever he could see,
He saw the forest, and the trees
He saw petunias, and the peas,
He saw the valley, saw the hill,
He saw the lonely daffodil,
And just when he had seen his fill
He looked upon another hill,
A little hill with trees upon
Just like the one that he was on.
He wandered down from bough to bough
Onto the ground and then somehow
Crawled over grass and bush and stone
