As I Grew Older
It was a long time ago.
I have almost forgotten my dream.
But it was there then,
In front of me,
Bright like a sun—
My dream.
And then the wall rose,
Rose slowly,
Slowly,
Between me and my dream.
Rose until it touched the sky—
The wall.
Shadow.
I am black.
I lie down in the shadow.
No longer the light of my dream before me,
Above me.
Only the thick wall.
Only the shadow.
My hands!
My dark hands!
Break through the wall!
Find my dream!
Help me to shatter this darkness,
To smash this night,
To break this shadow
Into a thousand lights of sun,
Into a thousand whirling dreams Of sun

a letter to the poet:
I liked the poem so much because it reflects our life ,in other words it’s from reality ,and we face the same things or problems in our life .
on the other hand it talks about a lot of sadness, but the most attractive part was that the character challenged the racism and didn’t give up in front of the problems he faced . he achieved his dream because he believed that can change his road in life .
the goal from this poem was great that you should not give up and make your dream come true .

my dream :
dream is the most important thing for each person , but better than dreaming is achieving, the dream .according to me ,my dream is to be great phycologist , this give me the ability to understand feelings and behaviors the others .
it can be by listening theirs sayings and maybe by their body behaviors . so then I can help them how to face all the problems . then I will be so satisfied in myself because I made them feeling happy and I achieved my dream .
finally, I hope all the best in my future and not to face big problems by achieving my dream .
