“Hello,” said the worm to the apple. “I’ve come to eat you.”

The worm drilled a small hole in the apple and climbed inside.

It started eating.

It ate some more.

The apple rotted and fell from the tree.

A fox walked by and ate the apple.

There is no moral to this story. Except perhaps, that when worms eat apples, they cut off the bough they are sitting on. So to speak.
