Later on in the second half of third term we went to Corona to take part in a tournament;the result wasn’t pretty but either way we tried our best. Goodbye
It is time to say goodbye to all my friends(Including my friends from the football team) and to all my memories in Junior school; it is time to say hello to senior school. I also have to say goodbye to the teachers of junior school; finally I have to say goodbye to the routine of junior school. The memories I had in junior school were when I first went to corona to play a match, the time when I first won the inter- house mental maths contest, the time I first stepped into C.I.S and of course my graduation.
The Next Big Leap
My next checkpoint in my journey through school is senior school which without a doubt will be very hard. I am willing to continue my journey swiftly just as I did in junior school. Year six (6) has been a blast; hopefully, year seven (7) will be better; I would love to be introduced to new subjects like: Advanced DT- Design and technology, Spanish etc. Sadly, some of my best friends will not be able to continue this journey alongside me such as Ayomide Akinleye and Veer Advani.
Year 6C Assembly
Year 6C’s assembly was a blast! We demonstrated what we learnt in science- The Blood. We were split into four(4) groups, the red blood cells, plasma, platelets and white blood cells-The group I was in. There were two(2) explorers, Adebare and Veer. Their job was to wonder about what are blood vessels and blood components; we took care of the rest- explaining everything. At the end we had a little quiz to know who were the people that were actually listening, and believe it or not, they were many!

Head masters Cup Finals
On the 10th of June 2017, I and fourteen(14) other people were representing C.I.S in the finals of the tournament, headmasters cup. We took the lead first against Lagos Preparatory School, nevertheless, the referee canceled a goal for us; believe it or not we ended with the terrible score of 2-1! So, we ended up with a silver medal each; to cheer us up the girls won their finals and brought the trophy and the gold medals with them. At the end the school that played against us calmed us down; from that second, I was motivated to try my best.

Sports Day
C.I.S sports day was an amazing experience, I was representing Acacia in the relay; I ended up with a bronze medal- In my opinion it is OK. I was part of the people who were marching; we did the manikin challenge. We were 3rd in the marching, however we were 2nd in overall. In my two hundred(200) meter race, I was racing Ara, Richmond and Jemine. I took part in two( 2) races and ended up with only one(1) medal. I enjoyed the experience at the end of the day!

Little Bakers
My experience in Little bakers was out of this world! I got to make bread and pizza! My pizza was vegetarian; I also made three(3) different styled bread. We made all of this by following all given instructions. When we got back to school we were asked to write a recount about our experience and this is mine:
My Recount
In the Bread Lounge, I made Pizza and Bread. It was an amazing experience to make my own pizza and also make my own bread in different shapes. I was also introduced to how dough is made, the quantity of all the ingredients needed and the procedure in which we make pizza, dough and bread. I also memorized the wet and dry ingredients- Dry: dry yees, salt, sugar, Flour and powdered milk Wet: unsalted butter, water and eggs.
Firstly, we were taught and showed how dough is made which was: Firstly we add 250g of flour; we added 5g of dry yees; we added 100g of sugar; we added 2g of salt; 12g of powdered milk; we mixed them on slow speed; we added 100ml of water; one (1) egg; we mixed them on medium speed; we then added unsalted butter and finally we mixed them on high speed.
Secondly, I made my own pizza by following these instructions: Firstly, roll your dough, then flatten it, next add 2g of onions, afterwards add 3g of green pepper, then add 3g of mozzarella cheese, next add mayo and ketchup. (Optional)
Thirdly, I made my own pieces of bread, each in a different shape by: Rolling the dough in the right way, cut in the right way and obviously listening to any additional information.
In conclusion, I will like to state that all skills are important in your everyday life for example if I didn’t have learnt about weight in math, then I wouldn’t have been able to weigh my ingredients; in my opinion, I think this has been a fun and educational experience.
C.I.S secondary school taster
My Experience in Secondary School
My experience in year 7 (secondary school) was amazing! I got to learn about a lot of things; the teachers were pleased to help any child who needs help. I also got to meet: Mr Jay, Mr French, Mr Suleiman, Mr Korede, Mr Grebe and Mr Manafa.
Firstly, I had Art and Design with Mr Jay, where I had to design something dynamic, next I had science with Mr Suleiman, where I did three (3) experiments on changes, after break I had Spanish with Mr Grebe, where I learnt how to say my name, greet and talk about ourselves in Spanish, afterwards, I had geography with Mr Manafa, where I learnt about the topic: “Why is Geography important?”, after second break I had Music with Mr Korede and I learn about what a riff is and finally I had Dt with Mr French where I made my key holder!
My B-Day!
My Birthday! What a time! I celebrated my eleventh(11th) birthday in school. I brought cupcakes and pizza to school; sadly the pizza was sent home because we are not allowed to bring pizza to school. Thankfully, the rest of the day was fantastic; to make things better, my mum made me a larger cake and I celebrated it with my family members and I really enjoyed it. I ended up getting new football boots for my present; I am grateful for it.

Topic Project
We were studying about how the castles were in medieval times; we had to make a castle each and it had to be 3D- We also had to do our STEAM aspect. We also had expectations that we had to meet like the one (1) that we couldn’t exceed the area of an A3 paper- Which I eventually exceeded. I made a huge Castle that I needed a whole table to put on! My castle had the walls, drawbridge, the tower etc. We all presented it on a Friday; that day was the day we had the whole school music concert, where people had to sing or play an instrument; we couldn’t all present that day because there was no time. We had to answer all the questions that we were asked. ( By my classmates)

Habitats
During our half term break,we were asked to complete our science assignment on habitats; that assignment was to make a 3D habitat of our choice, furthermore, we had to bring it to school and much like the castle, we had to present it to the class; we also had to answer all the questions after the STEAM aspect. We all presented; I did mine on the ocean. I also added modern and prehistorical creatures that are found in the ocean. For example: Megalodon.
Diversity Day
On Diversity Day, Year 6 was representing USA. I was a Harvard graduate; we shared the roles to different people, for example, Chioma was Michael Jackson. We presented everything on a Friday, where every other year group was. Every year group had to represent another country; some of the countries were: Lebanon, Nigeria, Greece, France, America, UK, Pakistan etc. We paraded around and Chioma was dancing; finally, every year group got applauded.

Achievements
since I came to this marvellous school in 2009, I have accomplished a lot of things; some of my achievements are the following: I have won the always award multiple times; I have received a reward from prize giving; I am the third (3rd) highest after the captain- football team; I have gotten high levels in most (if not all) subjects and finally, I have gone for competitions outside school to represent my school alongside a team- We have ended in loads of positions in the standings, and the latest example was when we went to St. Saviours, we came third.
Spending my time with friends….
When I started my academic school year in year 6, I had loads of friends which I met in the previous years; I made more this year. Some examples are: Ayomide, Vincenzo and Odi. We all spend our time with each other, some time with Ayomide and some time with Odi. We usually talk about funny things that have happened to us in the past; every friend has his own speciality, which include funny, smart, helpful, kind etc. We also talk about other things like games and sometimes football. During break, we play with each other and when break is over, we go back to being serious in class.
Most Memorable Moments
From the beginning of my journey through C.I.S, I have some memories that I can never forget, such as: The moment I won my first always award; the moment in which I competed in the math challenge; meeting my first ever friend in school; my first ever role in a production and my first year in C.I.S.
I have more memories, nevertheless of course, if I start listing all of them, then, I wouldn’t finish!
