A man leaves a roast chicken on the table in his house and goes to bed.

When he wakes up in the morning the dog has eaten all of it. Who’s to blame?

A driver is texting while driving. He goes around a corner and there is another car driving towards him/her on the wrong side of the road. The cars crash. Who’s to blame? The person driving on the wrong side of the road? Or the person texting?

You leave your Facebook logged in at school and someone invents a stupid status update. Your Mum reads it and gets very angry. Who’s to blame?

A customer in a restaurant drops his ice-cream on the floor. The waiter doesn’t have time to clean it up because he is so busy. Another customer slips in the ice-cream and breaks his arm. Who’s to blame?

A doctor who has been working for 24 hours without a break makes a mistake during an operation and the patient almost dies.

Last night John forgot to lock the front door and burglars came into his house and stole everything.

Some people blame John for not locking the house. They really think that it was John’s fault. Other people think that the thieves are to blame and no matter if the door is locked or not people who steal are always in the wrong.
