Japan’s capital city is Tokyo.
Tokyo presents the cultural and economic center of the country. Tokyo is located on the eastern shore of the island of Honshu main island is Japan, on the shores of Tokyo Bay.

Language
The national language of Japan is Japanese that has been spoken since 794.
Japanese writing is divided into several different types.
One of them for example is Kanji, which is signs that represent kinds of words (the word “go”, for example, has this sign: )
The main type is Katakana.

Traditional Clothes
Geisha is a traditional Japanese female entertainer that has dancing and playing classical Japanese music skills.
An apprentice geisha are called Maiko.
Kimono is the traditional dress of Japan. Previously the use of the word “kimono” represented all types of clothing. In modern times the Kimono is mainly used by females.

Famous Sports
Sumo is considered Japan’s national sport. Japanese martial arts such as judo, karate and kendo are also widely practiced and enjoyed by spectators in the country. Baseball is currently the most popular spectator sport in the country.
Famous Animal
Japan has different kinds of famous animals:
- JAPANESE BLACK BEAR – These bears have a distinct yellow crest on their chest – making them different than all other black bears in the world.
- SHIMA ENAGA – This little guy is native to the island of Hokkaido. Shima Enaga’s are fairly small birds with long white tail feathers and are commonly found in the lowlands and mountains.
