Mason goes swimming

Mason:Daddy…Daddy can we go to to the pool today.

Dad: Yes Mason, I remember my promise

Daddy: You seem excited mason, but do you know how to swim.

Mason: Looking down, he nodded and whispered** no daddy

Daddy: Dont worry Mason, I will teach you.. I started swimming when i was about you age.

Mason: With a sparkle in his eye**  he responded. I want be a great swimmer just like you.

Mason: Grabs his towel from the kitchen counter and rushes out the patio door to the pool**

Daddy: “Wait Mason”, I yell. “Not so fast son”. As i follow him out the patio door.

As we stood next to the pool mason asked.

Mason: Show me daddy. I am ready

Daddy: First things first mason, you have to put on your arm floats

Daddy stands in the shallow end of the pool gesturing for mason to come in…” Come in Mason, the water is warm today”

Mason:dipping his toe into the water as he holds the rail to come in…” It feel cold to me daddy” in an upward motion seeming to exit the pool.
