“Mrs. Peacock” said the policeman in the dark room in the police station:” You have been a witness yesterday to the murder of Dr. Angus Black, on November 25, 1953, in Tudor Mansion.”
“That’s true, my dear. I came to you because I know who the murderer is.” said Mrs. Peacock.
“Go ahead!”. The policeman was curious to know what she wanted to tell him.
“Reverend Green behaved very strangly last night. At the moment of the shot in the library I saw Mr. and Mrs. Green running away from Tudor Mansion. While searching the room, I found a handkerchief of Mr. Green. The words Reverend Jonathan Green were written on it. That horrible person killed the kindest man in the entire United Kingdom.” said Mrs. Peacock.
“Thank you very much! Your information will help us find the murderer.”
“The murderer is Green!! Wasn’t I clear?” answered angrily Mrs. peacock.
“Thank you. We are done here, for now.”
Mrs. Peacock left the station with a big smile.
A phone ringtone sounded in Leo Smith’s office. The policeman picked up the phone.
“Sir, we found the murderer. Mr. Jonathan Green. Mrs. Peacock isn’t guilty.”

Chapter 1: A Hidden Evil
November 25, 1953, Tudor Mansion
Angus Black drank his morning-coffee, brushed his teeth and combed his hair as he always did. But, this day wasn’t normal. It was better than normal! This day was Angus’s birthday. Also, an exciting football game was to occur. The excitement from this game was overwhelming. England’s team was about to play against Hungary. ‘We will win today! I can feel it. England will prove its power on the field’ thought Angus. He invited some of his best friends at 8PM to watch the game. They were Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet and Colonel Mustard.
Angus met Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet and Colonel Mustard at the University of Cambridge. Miss Scarlet’s mother was Mrs. Peacock. She was Angus’s dentistry teacher in Cambridge.
Mr. Green was the Reverend in his church. In the Black family they used to call him “The Nice Church-Man”. His housekeeper was Mrs. White. Mrs. White was a good friend of the Black family. When Mr. Samuel Black built Tudor Mansion she was the first volunteer for the housekeeper job.
When Angus went outside to get rid of the trash, his neighbor, Mr. Bradley, came across him. “Look who’s here! Mr. Fancy Black, ugly as every. What you have to say, some new high-level words?” he said. “You are probably drunk. I didn’t do any troubles. Do you need me for something?” answered Angus.
“I need you dead, that’s what I need.”
Angus Black wasn’t expecting the punch he got in his face. His nose started to bleed. Angus lost consciousness. Some neighbors stopped Mr. Bradley from beating him,
and Angus was later treated by the manor’s doctor.
Angus black was always known for his good humor. But, this day wasn’t normal. This day a man tried to assassinate him.

Chapter 2: I put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he’s dead
The time was 19:50. Angus organized the hall, still recovering from the injury.
DING DONG! The door’s bell rang. There were the couple Prof. Plum and Miss. Scarlet, and also her mother – Mrs. Peacock.
“Ohh! Vivienne, Peter such a nice couple! Look, my dear Elizabeth! How are you these days?” said Angus cheerfully.
“I’m fine, darling” answered Elizabeth Peacock.
“What happened to your nose?” asked Vivienne.
“Just a drunk neighbor. Nothing to worry about! Are you excited from the game?”
“Of course! How not?” said Peter.
“Here, the game is about to start!” said Angus.
“Hallelujah!” said Peter.
Michael Mustard, Jonathan Green and Blanche White came to the mansion.
“Hello, everyone! We’re at the start of the friendly game between England and Hungary!” said the BBC commentator.
The first goal was Hungary’s. After that, Hungary scored another one. Then, England scored a goal.
After 85min. the score was 5-3 to Hungary.
“Such a bad birthday..” said Angus.
“Another goal for Hungary! The score now is 6-3 for Hungary.” said the commentator
“I’m going to the library…” said Angus sadly.
“And I’ll go to the Billiard Room.” said Mrs. Peacock. She stared at her terrified daughter and went to the billiard room.
The game was about to end in a minute. Angus took his favorite book from the shelf and set in his couch.
30 seconds to the end of the game.
Mrs. Peacock took out her gun.
15 seconds to the end of the game.
She walked slowly to the library.
5 seconds to the end of the game.
Mrs. peacock was ready.
4 seconds.
3 seconds.
2 seconds.
Angus Black gaped at her, frightened.
1 second.
A shot came from the library. Mr. Angus Lewis Black was dead.

Chapter 3: The Deal
November 26, 1953, Mrs. Peacock's house
Mrs. Peacock found her daughter Vivienne Scarlet crying.
“Oh, darling, what happened?” she asked.
“Leave me alone, you monster! If you care about me, why didn’t you care about him?”
“Nonsense! You are my daughter. Of course I care about you.”
“And he wasn’t like a son for you? ‘My favorite student’ you always called him!” said Vivienne.
Mrs. Peacock slapped her daughter’s face and went away to her bedroom.
She opened her phone and dialed.
“Leo?” she said
“Yes, Mrs. Peacock, do you have some good news” said Leo Smith.
“The fox is in hell. Where is my money?”

Chapter 4: Leo Smith
Leo Smith was the captain of the Essex Police Station in Saffron Walden, Cambridge.
He was 27 years old when Samuel Black bought Tudor Mansion – the largest manor in Saffron Walden. The Blacks were also the richest family in town. Leo Smith wanted their money.
Then, he met Elizabeth Peacock, a close friend of the Black family, at the University of Cambridge. He told Mrs. Peacock that he will give her 50% of the money for her help.
Mrs. Black was murdered in 1926. Leo shot her when she went to the Bridge End Garden park alone.
Mr. Black was murdered in 1946. Angus was 26 when this happened. He was the last target. In 1953 Leo heard from Mrs. Peacock that Angus invited her to celebrate his birthday in his home, while watching a great game. ‘It will be the perfect hit!’ he thought. Leo sent Mrs. Peacock to kill Angus at the end of the game. Then he told her to lie his policemen and come to the police station as a witness.
But, Leo Smith didn’t finish his business. He had one more idea.

Chapter 5: Finally
November 26, 1953, Tudor Mansion
Leo Smith stood in front of Tudor Mansion. The door was open. He entered. The hall was gorgeous. There were two blue doors, a blue rag and a big fireplace. He searched the other rooms, and tried to look for some hidden money. “Where is the money?!” he shouted. Suddenly, he saw a couple of stairs leading to a basement. Leo went downstairs and saw some cupboards with wine. But, right in the left corner, there was something different. One of the wine bottles was red. He went closer. A word had been written on it. Pool. He pooled.
The cupboards split. There were 10 bags full of money. “This is it! Finally!” he said. Then, he took the bags to his car and drove away…
The time was 8PM. Leo Smith stood in the Bridge End Garden park. He liked to sit there and watch the beautiful statue in the middle of the park. Suddenly, he saw Mrs. Black. He felt ready. He took his gun… Leo went back to 1953. “Oh.. this dream” he said. He remembered how Mrs. Black walked through the park’s maze. He stood right in front of her. He held is gun in his pocket.
“Who are you?” she said.
“It doesn’t meter..” answered Leo.
“What do you want from me??”
“You know. It starts with the letter M.” he said. This was Mrs. Black last moment alive…
He returned home. Time for his last plan. One of his “police-workers” called him.
“Hello!” he said.
“Sir, we found the murderer. Mr. Jonathan Green. Mrs. Peacock isn’t guilty.”
“Is Mrs. Peacock gone already?”
“She left a moment ago. Why?”
“Great. I want you to take her to prison. In a second thought, kill her. I don’t want her to live!“

Chapter 6: A Moment of Clear Mind
January 3, 1957, Saffron Walden
“Sir? Are you okay?”
“Go disturb someone else, servant Watson.” said Leo Smith in his new house – Tudor Mansion.
He was sick. Sick from all the money and his actions. He quit the Essex Police half a year ago.
“Wait, Watson.” he said, “I feel bad. I’m tired and old. Help me!”
“What do you want to do?”
“What do you think I need?”
“We both know..”
“But, what about the money?”
“Mrs. Peacock’s daughter needs money. Give it to her. You have a chance to do one, right decision in your life.”
“What? You are crazy. Ouch, my head is hearting..”
“One option. One choice. To die in happiness, or to live with guilt. What is your decision?”. The servant Watson took out his gun and gave it to Leo.”One choice” he repeated. Leo pointed the gun to his temple.
“One choice” he said.
The End.
