1-Write diary entries for three different day in Georges life, describe the events and how George feels about them

I want to talk about three different days in George life. The first day when George met Mr.Cattanzra. In this day Mr.Cattanzra asked George about what did he do in this summer. George told him that he read about a hundred books that he took from the library. This thing was amazing for Mr.Cattanzra so he told all the neighbors about George’s reading. George felt very good especially when he saw his neighbors in the block smiles.

The second day is when Mr.Cattanzra met George and asked him about his books. He wanted to be sure that everything was going well. George told him that everything is ok, Then Mr Cattanzara asked him to give him a book that he recommended to read. In this momnet George didn’t know what to say to Mr.Cattanzra he just closed his eyes, Mr.Cattanzra understand that George didn’t read any book so he moved away and told George that don’t do waht I did (He means here that he didn’t want George to do the same mistake that he did before) After that George feel’s ashmed of himself.

The third day is when George want to the library when he entered the library he trembled to see many books but he struggeld to control himself. Then he took 100 books and began reading them. Finally George feel comfortable about his life.

BERNARD MALAMUD

Bernard Malamud was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Bertha (née Fidelman) and Max Malamud, Russian Jewish immigrants. A brother, Eugene, born in 1917, lived a hard and lonely life and died in his fifties. Malamud entered adolescence at the start of the Great Depression. From 1928 to 1932, Bernard attended Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn.During his youth, he saw many films and enjoyed relating their plots to his school friends. He was especially fond of Charlie Chaplin‘s comedies. Malamud worked for a year at $4.50 a day as a teacher-in-training, before attending college on a government loan. He received his B.A. degree from City College of New York in 1936. In 1942, he obtained a master’s degree from Columbia University, writing a thesis on Thomas Hardy. He was excused from military service in World War II because he was the sole support of his widower father.
