Bernard Malamud

was an American novelist and short story writer. Along with saul bellow and philip Roth,

he was one of the best known American jewish authors of the 20th century. His baseball novel,

The Natural was adapted into a 1984 film starring Robert Redford. His 1966 novel The Fixer (also filmed), about antisemitism in Tsarist Russia, won both the National Book Award and the pulitzer prize.

Bernard Malamud was born in Brooklyn,New York, the son of Bertha (née Fidelman) and Max Malamud, Russian Jewish immigrants. A brother, Eugene, born in 1917, lived a hard and lonely life and died in his fifties. Malamud entered adolescence at the start of the Great Depression.

George goal was to achieve the American Dream and he always dreams about having acar , ahouse , agirlfriend ,

ajob … , and  achieving this goals was the reason George chose this path in his life. and he wants to be educated

and abetter person in order to gain respect and makes his goals come true .

For Me , there are alot of things that I want to do and achieve in the future like that I want to be asuccessful doctor

and to get educated , and now I work on myself to be agood and stong person who can face any problems will face me in my way and overcome them .

Actually , my will to be more educated not related to achieving my goals , it’s all about that I like to learn anew things and

be aware for all events that occur around me this mean that this point not common between me and George .

But of course there are common things between us like that both have work hard in order to achieve what do we want .

Dear Mr.Cattanzara ,

10 years have passed in a jiffy , 10 years since I saw you last . Your advices to follow my dreams and be educated

make from me a completely different person , cultured man which always aspires to the best.

finally my life has become better , and I finally started enjoying my life and bying satisfied about her ,

And all this by and with your supports .

I remember when you told me to work in order to achieve my dreams and that they will not come by just sitting down

and do nothing those words gave me the inspiration to get up and start to read the 100 books .

Reading this books was the turning point in my life and the beginning of the big change.when I started to read

I couldn’t get enough of reading , cause this makes me saw the world in a different side and adifferent way , it was like

discover anew beautiful world so I read more and more books .

In the end I actually discovered that I have evolved to the best and that I have already started to reach my dreams and goals.

so what ever I say I can not describe my thanks to you , thank you with all my heart and I hope to see you soon.

George : hey Mr.Cattanzara !!

Mr.Cattanzara : Who?! George i can not believe ,

i did not saw you from 10 years .

George: Yeah its along time, I were in New York  to create my own busniess.

Mr.Cattanzara : So you made it you have achieved your dream.

George : Yes , and because of that I came here .

Mr.Cattanzara : What do you mean George ?

George : I returned to my nieghborhood specialy to thank you

from all of my heart for changing my life

Mr.Cattanzara : I did not do anything I just don’t want

to see you wasting your life like me.

George : You did not do anything ? I have reached to my dreams because of you

and specialy when you told me “don’t do what I did”

Mr.Cattanzara : Son , thus is life ,if you don’t overcome the difficulties you will lose 

and stay loser and if you work you will reach.

George : Indeed , the impossible is possible , and you are really achange maker not because you are work in this job but , because you have changed my life , thank you so much .
