My imaginary trip in London :) by Tal Wexler - Ourboox.com

I’ve never visited London. I learned about the city from hearing my friend’s stories, from reading about it in books and from seeing pictures of the city.
but I never, never saw it with my own eyes.
If I would visit London, the first thing I will go to see (I would never go on it, I have a fear of heights!!) Is the “London Eye”.
(learn about it on the next page…)

London Eye

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London.

When it opened to the public in 2000 it was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel.

It is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, and it has over 3.75 million visitors every year.

The passenger capsules has space for 25 people, who are free to walk around inside the capsule and sit on their seats.

After visiting the London Eye, I will probably be tired, so I would go to the Big Ben – to see if its time for a cup of tea…

Big Ben

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. It usually refers to both the clock and the clock tower.
Its height is 315 feet (96 m), and the climb from ground level to the belfry is 334 steps.

In the past, the name of “Big Ben” was “Clock Tower”.

Despite being one of the world’s most famous tourist attractions, the interior of the tower is not open to overseas visitors, though the People who live in London are able to arrange tours (a long time in advance). However, the tower currently has no lift, so the people who come to Big Ben must climb the 334 limestone stairs to the top… 🙁

I wonder where I would visit later in my journey in London. Maybe in the Tower of London? because I know myself, I’ll probably forget to bring money, but I need a place to spend the night… and the Castle sounds like the perfect choice, isn’t it?
