The Kingdom of Transylvania

Once upon a time there was a kingdom named Transylvania: a lush, river-filled kingdom, shining with the lights of the north on the dark, cold nights.

Today is the day of the coronation of Eric, the current ruler of the kingdom after the death of his father, Oberon. Oberon’s head was crowned with the sun’s wheel on which rested the holy serpent, destroying the enemies of God.(ראשו של אוברון היה מכוסה בגלגל השמש שעליו הונח הנחש הקדוש להשמיד את אויבי האל.)

Most of Eric’s brothers became his subjects and supported him and his actions, and they were in a higher rank in relation to the other Transylvanian citizens.

Corwin – Prince of Transylvania, was amongst the opposing brothers, that were aware of their brother Eric’s cruel and concealed actions.

Corwin was a powerful sorcerer, like his brothers, and believed he was the heir and he was the one to rule the kingdom. Corwin emerged through the shodow world – a world parallel to the earth, where dark phenomena exists and where dangerous monsters reside.

Corwin reached his sister persephone, who was the favorite of his sisters. Persephone, the daughter of Oberon and Carrie, was Grindom’s devoted wife, and she was a benevolent witch. He asked her for his family’s deck of cards- the royal family. 

The cards served as a means of communication between the brothers in the family and sometimes also as a means of transport.

Corwin now intended to avenge his father’s murder. He communicated with his brother Blaise to find the hidden kingdom called Macabre. The Hidden Kingdom disappeared many years after Corwin-Erik’s brother took over the kingdom and left behind a curse that gradually destroyed the entire kingdom.

Now Corwin and Blaise are moving toward the ninth dimension in the shadow world to meet the Princess of the Kingdom of Macabre. The princess was Corwin’s wife, but Erik expelled Corwin when he took over the kingdom of Macabre.

Then Corwin and Blaise reached a staircase that led to the kingdom of Macabre. They both entered the fortress and encountered many guards – for years the kingdom had been under the rule of Eric, who had no regard for the inhabitants of the kingdom. Corwin, Prince of Transylvania, entered the room of Princess MacLaine, whom he had not seen for a long time. Despite the many guards the kingdom was not well preserved and soon the kingdom would be destroyed and collapse under the burden of the curse imposed on it.

The three fled from the hidden kingdom-Blaise, Corwin, and the love of his life, and as they fled the steps leading out, they saw the kingdom slowly collapse.

When the three of them reached the kingdom of Transylvania, they saw Eric’s extreme influence on the kingdom, not for the better. The residents were seen hopeless and in shaky clothes.

. Corwin hid the Princess in a nearby church and went to his brother’s throne. Blaise and Corwin were surprised as they were on their way to the hall, hearing in the narrow corridors whispers that Eric had been killed with the collapse of the hidden kingdom of Macabra, for now it was not anymore and Eric was trampled along with it and all the rest of its people. 

 It was indeed a great sorrow, but also a great relief and joy to the kingdom of Transylvania and its people, now crowned by Prince Corwin of Transylvania and his love – Princess MacLaine.
