CRISTOFORO COLOMBO
Cristoforo Colombo was born in Genova, in Italy, in 1451s . He was a sailor, he was famous for discovering America on 12th October 1492s . He had a brother and a sister: Giovanni Pellegrino and Bianchinetta Columbus. His sons were Diego and
Fernando. He died on 20th May in 1506 .When he died he was 54.

MICHELANGELO BUONARROTI
Michelangelo was born in Caprese , Arezzo.
He was he born on 6th March 1475.
Michelangelo was a famous Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet. Considered by many the greatest artist of his lifetime, and by some the greatest artist of all time.
His famous works are: Michelangelo’s David, the Dome of Saint Peter’s and the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. He died in Roma on 18th February 1564.

WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on 27th of January 1756 in Salzburg. Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. His most famous operas are “Don Giovanni” a collaboration with another Hungarian composer, Franz Liszt, and “Turkish March”.He died on 5th December of 1791.

LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN
Ludwig Van Beethoven was born on the 16 December 1770 in Germany. He was a German pianist and composer, he was famous all over the world. One of the most important Beethoven’s songs was”For Elisa”. In 1802 he composed the “Moonlight Sonata” an important opera famous like “For Elisa”. He died on 26th March 1827.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
Benjamin Franklin was born in 1706 on 17th January. He was a polymath and a politician of the United States of America(U.S.A). He was a journalist, a scientist, an inventor… he was one of most important protagonist of American Revolution. He earned the title of “First American” for his tireless campaign for the unity of the original Thirteen Colonies. His paerents were Josiah Franklin and Abiah Folger. He died on 17th April in 1790.

NAPOLEONE BONAPARTE
Napoleone Bonaparte was born on 15th August 1769 in Ajaccio.He was famous for being a politician and military leader during the French Revolution. He was Emperor of French too, from 1804 until 1814. His parents were Carlo Maria Bonaparte and Maria Letizia Ramolino. In 1802 he was proclaimed President of the Italian Republic. After 3 years he was the King of Italy. He died in 1821.

CHARLES DICKENS
Charles John Huffam Dickens was born on 7th February 1812. Charles was a good student at school, he loved books and read a lot. He was an English writer. He was interested in social problems, especially the difficult lives of poor people. He died in Westminster Abbey in London.

MOTHER TERESA of CALCUTTA
Madre Teresa of Calcutta was born on 26th August, 1910 in Skopje, Albania. She was an Albanian religious of Catholic faith, and she was a charity missionary. Madre Teresa was a voluntary patroness and she was also a nun. She died on 5th September 1997, in Calcutta.

AHMED SEKOU TOURE’
Ahmed Sekou Tourè was born in Faranah on 9th January 1922. Faranah is a village in Guinea that is situated on the bank of the Niger River. He was the president of Guinea from 1958 until his death. Tourè died in Cleveland on 26th March during an operation of the heart.

MARILYN MONROE
Marilyn Monroe was a great singer. She was born on 1st June 1926, in Los Angeles (USA). She had black hair and brown eyes. She had three husbands: Arthur Miller, Joe Di Maggio and James Dougherty. She was an actress, and her first film was ” The Shocking Miss Pilgrim”. She died on 5th August 1962.
